Support area / Bold predictions for the Tennessee Titans’ 2018 season?
« Last post by zhangzk on February 12, 2019, 07:58:43 am »
This is it. We have seven days until the Tennessee Titans begin playing real football that actually matters Tennessee Titans Hoodie , which means we can avoid using the filler to hold off our anticipation for the regular season and begin with new material once again.Naturally, here’s an article with some filler. Titans fans are a loyal, rabid group, and we know this. Like any fan base, this involves the use of bold predictions. Bold predictions take up a lot of space on TV and on the internet, and there’s no escaping it. Bearing that in mind, let’s get our bold predictions out of the way so we can move on and see that we are wrong all along about our predictions.I’ll start by getting my bold prediction all the way.Harold Landry will have double digit sacks in his rookie seasonYep, I am drinking the Harold Landry Kool-Aid and predicting a double digit sack season. I have no doubt that Landry will be a good player in the league, as we all do, but now that he’s fully healthy (after dealing with injuries in his senior season at Boston College), I’m expecting huge things from his rookie season. Simply put, Landry has the quickness, ridiculous bend, and phenomenal athleticism to become a generational talent in the league. Is this a hot take? A little, yes. But it’s a take I find warranted because of how gifted Landry is as a player. So I’m predicting at least ten sacks for Landry. And before you tell me Landry isn’t starting initially, I know. But in 2017, Bengals rookie pass rusher Carl Lawson started one game in his rookie season and still managed to put up 8.5 sacks. If Landry starts a few more than just one, I don’t see how he isn’t at least in the wheelhouse of Lawson’s rookie season. Sacks aren’t everything for a pass rusher—not even close—but it is fun to witness them when they do occur. With that out of the way, let’s hear your boldest, hottest takes on the 2018 season. This isn't exactly where the Jets expected to be right now. At least, not this way.Todd Bowles' bunch is 1-2 after an embarrassing flop in Cleveland, falling 21-17 on Thursday night to a Browns team that hadn't won since 2016. Two losses in five days have New York looking for answers and hoping things don't quickly spiral before the season is even a month old."It's a 24-hour rule and you've got to have tough skin Cheap Customized Tennessee Titans Jerseys ," Bowles said Friday morning. "We're a tough-minded team and it's not going to drag. We've got a couple of days to get some rest and get some guys back and get healthy and move on to Jacksonville next week 鈥?no different from if we had won the ballgame."We'll be fine that way. I think we're mentally tough."Judging from the mistakes, penalties and missed opportunities in the Jets' losses to Miami last Sunday and then at Cleveland, the team hasn't backed up its coach. That assessment will certainly be tested, though. New York's upcoming schedule includes some tough defenses 鈥?at Jacksonville, vs. Denver, vs. Indianapolis, vs. Minnesota and at Chicago 鈥?that will be licking their chops at the prospect of facing rookie quarterback Sam Darnold."Going in, watching the schedule after he won starting job, I thought this would be his toughest game from a scheme-coverage standpoint because of the things they do on that side of the ball," Bowles said. "I thought he handled that well."It's not that the No. 3 overall pick has been bad. Darnold hasn't been particularly great, either. In the Jets' two losses, he has one touchdown pass and four interceptions, although the two against Cleveland came late in the game while he was trying to rally New York to a comeback."It's not acceptable the way that I played tonight and I know that, but also take it like a man," Darnold said after the game. "I feel like I'm responsible for some of the stagnant offense that we had.
I just have to play better. That's really it. I have to find completions and continue to do what I've been doing."Darnold was 15 of 31 for 169 yards and the two INTs against Cleveland. He has said all the right things, showing the maturity of a veteran. But the 21-year-old face of the franchise is going through the rookie rollercoaster of ups and downs."He has a fire within that you really can't see, but I thought he competed his butt off yesterday," Bowles said. "I thought yesterday was one of his better ballgames from a mental standpoint and a toughness standpoint and a grit standpoint."But Darnold was easily overshadowed in front of a prime-time crowd by Baker Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick who replaced an injured Tyrod Taylor and energized the Browns while leading them to their first win since Dec. 24, 2016.While Mayfield was zipping passes all around the field, offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates seemed to play it mostly conservative with Darnold. Bowles thought the offense was "well-balanced," but added that the Browns' defense negated some of the Jets' game plan in the second half."I mean http://www.authenticstennesseetitans.com/cheap-quinton-spain-jersey , we can run it better, we can protect better, we can run routes better and he can make some decisions better," Bowles said. "But it's a team effort. It's not just Sam. From that standpoint, I'm not saying that people weren't helping him out. We can do a better job all around helping him out."Not committing silly penalties 鈥?on both sides of the ball 鈥?would be a start. There was Isaiah Crowell's touchdown celebration when he pretended to wipe his rear end with the football before firing it into the crowd, resulting in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.Cornerback Trumaine Johnson had two penalties during one drive, including an unsportsmanlike conduct call on a third-down play when he flipped the ball to Browns receiver Jarvis Landry, and an unnecessary roughness call two plays later. Also, Mayfield was sacked on a 2-point conversion attempt at the end of the third quarter, but cornerback Morris Claiborne committed a holding penalty. The Browns converted the 2-point try, with Landry throwing to Mayfield, tying the game and shifting the momentum to Cleveland."Well, the penalties are definitely on the players," Bowles said. "I mean, coaches can't play for them. We understand situations and we know what to do and what not to do. Guys have got to be calmer in certain situations."Perhaps the biggest swing came with the Jets leading 14-3 in the third period when Darnold completed a 17-yard pass to Robby Anderson, who then fumbled. The Browns kicked a field goal four plays later, making it a one-score game."I know we have character and I know that we'll fight and I know we have a decent team," Bowles said. "We've just got to cut down and fix some things."NOTES: WR ArDarius Stewart was re-signed to the practice squad after being waived earlier in the week. Stewart was a third-round pick out of Alabama last year. To make room, WR Deontay Burnett was released. ... Bowles said there were no major injuries coming out of the game.

The Inquirer reports the Arizona Cardinals are signing Joe Walker to their 53-man roster. The Eagles originally drafted Walker with a late seventh-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. As a rookie http://www.eaglescheapauthenticstore.com/malcolm-jenkins-jersey-cheap , he showed some potential in the preseason before suffering a season-ending ACL injury. Walker made it back to the field to play in 12 games (three starts) for Philadelphia in 2017. He mostly served as a backup and special teams player. Walker made the Eagles’ original 53-man roster this year but he was waived a day later in order to make room for D.J. Alexander. After Walker passed through waivers, the Eagles brought him back to their practice squad.By signing with the Cardinals’ active roster, Walker is automatically guaranteed at least three weeks’ pay. Walker leaving slightly hurts the Eagles’ linebacker depth situation but it’s not the end of the world since he wasn’t a great option anyway. The Eagles now have two vacant spots on their practice squad. Stay tuned for more signings. Updated look at the Eagles’ practice squad:S Tre SullivanWR Braxton MillerWR Reggie DavisWR Dorren MillerDT Treyvon HesterDE Joe OstmanCB Chandon SullivanC Jon Toth(Vacant spot)(Vacant spot)Carson Wentz brings aggression that the Eagles’ offense has lacked with Nick Foles Heading into the Week 3 showdown with the Indianapolis Colts, the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles are in need of an offensive spark. Surrounded by a unit plagued by injuries and uncertainty at both wide receiver and running back, franchise quarterback Carson Wentz is in an unenviable position. But he has two things working in his favor that Nick Foles has been missing through two weeks. The Eagles’ wide receivers http://www.authenticsphiladelphiaeagles.com/cheap-jason-peters-jersey , a mix of beat up and rag tag bunch outside of Nelson Agholor, have struggled mightily to separate and create clear looks. Even Agholor has been less effective in this regard. NFL Next Gen Stats have him at 2.4 average yards of separation compared to last years’ 3.0. Thankfully this is a small sample size and Zach Ertz helps with his 3.8 average. Outside of them, coverage units have been the white to their rice.Faced with that lack of performance from his targets, Foles has been hesitant and gun shy.
According to Pro Football Focus, Foles has held onto the ball for an average of 2.76 seconds http://www.authenticsphiladelphiaeagles.com/cheap-malcolm-jenkins-jersey , which ranks 27th of 31 and is certainly not by design. Making matters worse, when he’s been presented with tight window throws, he balks. With Wentz’s return, that’s about to change. With a cannon for an arm and a fearless mentality, he is far more willing to fit throws into smaller windows and the data bears that out. Let’s compare the two Youth Jordan Hicks Jersey , but first, the definitions for the data presented from NFL Next Gen Stats.Comparing Wentz’s 2017 campaign to Foles in 2018, here’s how they look next to each other:AGG%: Carson Wentz = 25.7% (1st), Nick Foles = 14.6% (18th)AYTS: Carson Wentz = +.80 (4th), Nick Foles = -2.1 (24th)If you’re concerned that the roster’s current make-up looks more like the 2016 season than 2018 in terms of pass catching depth Color Rush Nick Foles Jersey , don’t be. Wentz still smokes Foles in aggression and downfield throwing in both areas despite being more conservative in his rookie year.Wentz is going to fit some fastballs into some tight windows, which will be a welcome change. The question is, will his receivers make the plays they need to make for him? Either way, it will be a breath of fresh air seeing a quarterback more willing to challenge defenses.

"That's a heck of deal after nine games Authentic Jadeveon Clowney Jersey ," the Washington Redskins' coach said. "But I'm also excited with the fact that we have not played our best yet, and I think the best is yet to come."It wasn't been a flawless ride, but when the roller-coaster Redskins host the rolling Houston Texans on Sunday, it'll be a showdown between two surprising division leaders. Washington has gotten into first place in the NFC East alternating strong and weak performances, and Houston has won six in a row to also reach 6-3 and sit atop the AFC South.Led by veterans Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson, the Redskins come into the matchup motivated by a lack of respect. Second-year quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Texans are full of confidence after digging out of an 0-3 hole."Winning helps," Houston coach Bill O'Brien said. "Everybody has confidence in their ability to go out there and play well, but I also think our team understands that this is a very humbling league. This is a league, it's a short walk. It's a short walk from where you are right now to where you were when you were 0-3."It's a very short walk for the Redskins from their best to their worst. A three-game October winning streak and last week's victory at Tampa Bay didn't show their best.So there's reason why, despite leading the division by two games, Washington isn't getting the same buzz as other playoff contenders. Players are just fine with that."Nobody's really looking at the Redskins or anything," middle linebacker Zach Brown said. "For us, we're just going to keep trying to stack up the wins and see where we can take it. For us, we just need an invite to the dance because you never know what might happen."Peterson figures it's too early to think playoffs, but said: "You can definitely have it in the back of your mind and understand how important each and every game is."Coming off their bye week, the Texans fully understand the value of every game to their chances of winning a third division title in four seasons."We have to win against the Redskins to even keep conversations like that alive http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/christian-covington-jersey ," defensive end J.J. Watt said. "If you start to look that far ahead and you start to think about things like that, that's when you get blindsided."Some things to watch when the Texans visit the Redskins:WHAT A COMEBACKWatt and Peterson are top candidates for the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award after turning in strong performances in their return from two straight seasons that were cut short by injuries.Watt played just eight games in the previous two seasons because of back surgeries and a broken leg. Peterson missed 19 games in the 2016 and 2017 seasons combined because of knee surgery and a neck injury.Watt is tied for third in the NFL with nine sacks and tied for first by forcing four fumbles. He also has 16 quarterback hits, 11 tackles for losses and has swatted down two passes.Peterson is tied for fifth in the league with 672 yards rushing and has scored four touchdowns.Watt raved about Peterson's comeback."He's obviously one of the great running backs of the game," Watt said. "What he's been able to do in his career, but then to be able to come back the way he has and have the type of season he's having 鈥?obviously, I know how difficult it is from firsthand experience to come back from injuries, so I'm extremely impressed by what he's been able to do. I have a ton of respect for his game. It's always a good challenge to play against him and I enjoy the competition."SWEARINGER REVENGE GAMERedskins safety D.J. Swearinger, who was drafted by the Texans in the second round in 2013 and cut after the 2014 season, has not been shy to rip O'Brien. He posted on Instagram this week about "unprofessional actions" by O'Brien that led to his release, which his former coach responded to by saying he didn't know what Swearinger was talking about."D.J. made a lot of plays for us here," O'Brien said. "He's a very instinctive, tough, competitive player. He's obviously gone on to Arizona and now in Washington and I think he's a captain there and he's (second in) the league in interceptions, doing a great job, has got excellent ball skills, good tackler http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/kareem-jackson-jersey , tough, competitive guy."WATSON DOWNOnly the Giants' Eli Manning and Cowboys' Dak Prescott have been sacked more this season than Watson. The Texans quarterback said he tries to get back as close to the line of scrimmage as possible so as not to lose yardage on his 30 sacks.Brown has noticed on film that defenses can force sacks on Watson when they lock down on coverage because the young QB holds on to the ball so long trying to make something happen."I think he's just trying to make plays," Brown said. "He's still young.
Eventually he'll get that clock ticking in his head." The Houston Texans are in a much different place now than the first time they faced the Indianapolis Colts this season when they were 0-3 and desperate for a win.Ka'imi Fairbairn made a field goal as time expired in overtime to lead the Texans to a 37-34 victory in that game and they haven't lost since, reeling off a franchise-record nine straight wins entering Sunday's rematch.Houston (9-3) led 28-10 in the third quarter in that first meeting before Andrew Luck threw three second-half touchdowns to rally the Colts (6-6) and set up the wild finish. The Colts failed to convert a fourth-and-4 with 24 seconds left in overtime to give Fairbairn a chance to win it."Being up 28-10 ... and then letting them come back and being down in overtime and pulling through the adversity it kind of slingshot us to where we are now," Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson said."That was one game where we went through all types of phases and situations that put us through this nine-game win streak. It was the start of everything."Defensive end J.J. Watt said that Sept. 30 game seems as if it was a long time ago and noted how difficult it has been for the Texans to win in Indy, a place where they're just 3-14 all time."We needed one to get started. That was the one to get us started on this streak," Watt said. "Bit of an unorthodox way to get it, but we got it. So, here we are."The Texans are coming off a 29-13 win over the Cleveland Browns while the Colts were shut out 6-0 by the Jaguars last week to end a five-game winning streak."The Jacksonville game was tough," Luck said. "They outplayed us. There's not much else to say about it. As a defense against our offense, they just flat outplayed us ... we took a good look at it and we'll improve. I know we will."Some things to know about Sunday's game between the Colts and Texans.TOUCHDOWN THOMASHouston rookie tight end Jordan Thomas has a knack for scoring with four touchdown catches despite having just 14 receptions this season. His four touchdown receptions are tied with Andre Johnson for second-most TD receptions by a rookie in franchise history. The 6-foot-6, 277-pound Thomas has been a favorite target of Watson's in the red zone with all his scores coming on catches of 13 yards or less.NEW BALANCECoach Frank Reich has stressed the need to find balance since he took the Colts' job in February. When these teams met previously, Luck set single-game franchise records with 40 completions and 62 attempts and became the 11th player in league history to throw for 450 yards and four TDs. He wound up with 464 yards, second in franchise history, and four scores.Since then, an improved ground game helped lessen the burden on Luck's arm 鈥?until last week when he threw 52 passes Womens Julien Davenport Jersey , including 14 straight during one stretch, in the loss to Jacksonville. Don't expect the Colts to be so one-dimensional in Houston."You never want to have to drop back and pass it 52 times," offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni said. "We always want to run it more. Just in that scenario, the way we were running it, we had some plays on our call sheet that we felt were going to be good to hit, some chunks in the pass game and that's the way we went."THE BIG DHouston also will see a different defense. After allowing an average of 30 points over their first six games, the Colts cut that number to 16.8 points over the past six. Indy is the only team to have forced at least one turnover in every game this season, is second in the league in tackles for loss (71.0) and rookie linebacker Darius Leonard leads the league in tackles (122) and is tied for fourth in forced fumbles (four).First-year defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus sees it as a good start."We feel we have set the standard of how we want to play in terms of the style. Now we just need to execute on a consistent basis and just keep doing that week in and week out," he said. "There are a lot of things that we have to improve on, but we have come a long way."DEANDRE'S ARTOn a TV show this week, Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis said the way DeAndre Hopkins catches a football "is an art" and the Houston star agrees."There's more to it than just going out and catching a football," he said. "There's a lot of factors that go on before that. It's for sure an art and repetition makes perfect."Hopkins routinely makes nearly impossible catches look run of the mill and Watson has said that he believes Hopkins will catch anything he throws his way. His latest nifty catch came last week against the Browns on a 24-yard reception near the sideline that came after T.J. Carrie grabbed his dreadlocks to try and slow him down.Hopkins knows that he makes it look easy, but wanted to make clear that it is not."It's harder than people think," he said. "Especially like me I usually have a defender on me or close to me so catching the football isn't easy for me like it is for some people who are wide open. It's a challenge for me to play through that and still catch it."AP Sports Writer Michael Marot contributed to this report.

Football Knower; however www.pittsburghsteelersteamstore.com , as someone who disseminates their (usually poor) sports takes on the internet, I think it’s important to possess at least a baseline awareness of the various goings-on around the NFL.The Rams are very good. The Chiefs are very good. Todd Gurley and Patrick Mahomes, the MVP co-frontrunners of the Rams and Chiefs, respectively, are very good. The Cardinals are very bad. The Giants are very bad, but their offensive skill players—quarterback notwithstanding—are very good. Et cetera. The Cleveland Browns, a team that’s lost 36 of its past 40 games (relatedly, yikes), might be good? They’re 2-4-1, yes, but they should’ve beaten the Steelers, currently the top team in the AFC North, and they definitely should’ve beaten the Saints, a team that looks every bit the contender that the Rams and Chiefs do. Indeed, the Browns have been in every game, save for a 38-14 rout at the hands of the red-hot Chargers, and they taken four opponents to overtime already. That’s wild! I’ve said on the record that steadfastly assembling a surplus of nebulous draft capital isn’t the shrewdest or most pragmatic team-building strategy, especially when the hoarders have a notorious and hilarious track record of ineptitude when it comes to actually creating a functional and cohesive roster. But these Browns do have a number of promising homegrown franchise centerpieces Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt , including tight end David Njoku, linebacker Joe Schobert, Von Miller clone Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward—who seven games into his NFL career looks like Champ frickin’ Bailey—and, shockingly, Baker Mayfield, the no. 1 overall pick. Mayfield initially struck me as someone with a Drew Brees ceiling and a Johnny Manziel floor, so it’s encouraging—truly it is; this franchise has suffered for too long—to see that he’s been cast somewhere near the centermost point on that vast spectrum, at least for the time being. Alas, 2018 looks like a bridge year for Cleveland, as was probably intended anyway. For all of the strides they’ve made over the course of a single offseason, the Browns still have their fair share of deficiencies (the receiving corps, for instance, is laughably thin). Of course, the most pronounced malignancy currently plaguing this iteration of the Cleveland Browns is head coach Hue Jackson, who is quite literally one of the worst NFL head coaches in NFL history. One hundred and seventy nine coaches in league history coached 50 or more games; Jackson’s .209 career win percentage ranks 178th (oh, wow, who is that at number 15 on that list...). Jackson shouldn’t be allowed to coach a peewee team Pittsburgh Steelers Hats , let alone a professional football franchise, one whose once-storied history is now a fart in the wind. Hue Jackson makes Marvin Lewis look like Vince Lombardi. Jackson is not devoid of confidence, however. Indeed, despite willing just there games in Cleveland in his going-on three seasons there as head coach, Jackson wants to “help” the offense, which is currently being tended to by former Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Ripping on Todd Haley is a beloved pastime of this blog, but it isn’t a coincidence that the Steelers offense evolved from a plodding, turgid dumpster fire that activity aided in weekly assassination plots formulated against Ben Roethlisberger into a volcanic, high-scoring outfit that powered the Steelers to four consecutive postseason appearances under his tutelage. Now, Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, and rookie running back Nick Chubb are all nice players, but this triumvirate can’t hold a candle to the Killer B’s, so it isn’t fair to put the recent stagnation of Cleveland’s offense entirely on Haley’s shoulders.
I hope Jackson does assume more playcalling responsibilities; him doing so will all but guarantee a Steelers win this Sunday. The game: Steelers 30, Browns 21I don’t know, I feel like the Steelers are going to score a lot on Sunday. They’re coming off a bye, which followed a thrilling last-second victory against Cincinnati the week prior, which was exactly the kind of victory the Steelers needed to recalibrate their whole operation and proceed with a renewed sense of confidence Pittsburgh Steelers Hoodie , or something. Pittsburgh collected seven sacks in the aforementioned tie against Cleveland in Week 1, but did so with the erstwhile Tyrod Taylor under center. Mayfield is, to put bluntly, is less deliberate in his decision-making than Taylor, which probably means the Steelers will have a helluva time replicating those incredible sack figures. This isn’t to say that Mayfield is careless, however. He’s thrown five interceptions this season and his accuracy figure (57%) isn’t awesome, but neither figure is really reflective of the kind of quarterback he is. Mayfield’s foremost hallmark—the thing that enabled him to ascend to the top of the draft in the first place—is his ability to command an offense, putting the football exactly where he wants to go. If the coaches actually develop a decent offensive gameplan, the Browns should have enough firepower to keep this game interesting. I don’t think it will be that interesting. Landry notwithstanding, the offense doesn’t really have any dangerous impact players (also—blistering hot take—Landry is a marginally more exciting Wes Welker, so it’s not like he’s gonna turn the tides of the game alone) and Pittsburgh’s offensive skill players shouldn’t have too many issues exploiting the Browns defense. Most of all, Ben Roethlisberger is playing at home against a team he always beats. I think the Steelers are a safe bet this week. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is planning to fight a pair of lawsuits filed against him stemming from an incident at a Florida apartment complex last spring.Ophir Sternberg is seeking damages against Brown, claiming that objects thrown by Brown from the 14th floor of an apartment building came close to striking Sternberg's father and Sternberg's 22-month-old son in April. The lawsuit claims Sternberg's son was "extremely traumatized" by the event.A second lawsuit filed by the owner of the apartment building is seeking more than $15,000 in damages from Brown.Brown told police that the incidents occurred after a gun and $80,000 were stolen from the apartment. Brown said in a statement on Thursday the lawsuits contained "false claims" against him."The facts will soon come out that prove my innocence," Brown said. "My focus will remain on football and I will not let the cases serve as a distraction." Custom Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys

It is clear that the Titans needed to upgrade their pass catchers but weren’t able to do it. According to Paul Kuharsky on The Midday 180 today Robinson talked to 7 teams yesterday and was unable to come away with a deal. I don’t really know what that means other than Robinson tried to get a deal done but found the price teams were asking was too high. Some people were saying that the Titans not making a deal yesterday means they are giving up on the season. Of course that is ridiculous. Mike Vrabel didn’t shut it down at 3 PM yesterday because Robinson didn’t add a playmaker. They are going to continue to “try really hard” just like Robinson “tried really hard” to get a deal done yesterday. What not making a deal yesterday does mean for the rest of the season is that this is probably an 8-8 team that will miss the playoffs. Unless we see significant improvement from guys like Corey Davis Womens Quinton Spain Jersey , Taywan Taylor and Jonnu Smith in the second half of this season the offense just isn’t going to move the ball consistently. They won’t score enough points to win the games needed to make the playoffs. Now there is another factor in play here. The best quarterbacks in the league raise the play of the guys around them. You all know that I think Marcus Mariota is the answer at QB for this franchise. What he hasn’t been thus far in his career, and especially in the last 2 years, is a guy that raises the guys around him. Now that he appears to be fully healthy, he didn’t have the glove on at practice yesterday, and in an offense that is going to play to his strengths (#allegedly), is he finally ready to take that next step?At the end of the day, the Titans needed to add some help yesterday and they weren’t able to do that. They aren’t going to mail it in by any means, but it is hard to have any confidence in their ability to make a serious run with what they currently have....unless Marcus.... Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker suffered a gruesome injury to his right leg Sunday night late in Tennessee's loss in Miami and was carted off the field.Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Walker was not in the locker room after their 27-20 loss , but their thoughts and prayers are with the veteran."It certainly didn't look good from where I was standing Youth Corey Davis Jersey ," Vrabel said.Walker was the third Titans starter to leave the game with an injury. Two-time Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan left with a concussion, and quarterback Marcus Mariota was pulled with an elbow injury after a pair of interceptions in a game that lasted 7 hours and 8 minutes 鈥?the NFL's longest since the league's merger in 1970 with the AFL.Vrabel said Mariota and the other Titans will be evaluated.Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen tried to play for the Carolina Panthers with a back injury only to wind up on the sideline on crutches wearing a walking boot on an injured foot. Olsen went to the locker room in the second quarter. He missed nine games last season with a fracture in his foot, though coach Ron Rivera said it wasn't the same injury.Jacksonville running back Leonard Fournette hurt his hamstring in the second quarter and never returned to the Jaguars' season opener.
The Jaguars beat the Giants 20-15 without Fournette, who finished with 41 yards on nine carries and he also had three catches for 14 more yards before leaving the game.Fournette led the AFC South champs with 1,040 yards rushing and nine touchdowns as a rookie last season. Originally, his return was questionable before he was ruled out in the second half."It's something that he felt like, I know when I talked to him, he's had it before and knows how to treat it," Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said of Fournette. "That makes things pretty optimistic whereas normally I'm not that optimistic."Seattle wide receiver Doug Baldwin was knocked out of the game against Denver with an injured right knee. He was hurt in the first quarter when a Denver player he was attempting to block rolled over his leg. He walked off under his own power and came back briefly before leaving the game. Baldwin missed all of August with a left knee injury. In Los Angeles Womens DaQuan Jones Jersey , Chargers right tackle Joe Barksdale was carted back to the locker room with a knee injury. Barksdale suffered the injury near the end of the Chargers' third offensive drive of the first quarter.Houston Texans right tackle Seantrel Henderson also was carted off the field in New England with a left ankle injury. Patriots defensive lineman Keionta Davis landed on Henderson's ankle while trying to rush quarterback Deshaun Watson. Henderson was tended to on the field for a few minutes and then walked off under his own power. After the training staff looked at him on the sideline, Henderson hopped on his right leg to a cart before being driven into the tunnel beneath the stands.Henderson was hurt a few plays after Houston defensive lineman Christian Covington needed medical attention for a thigh injury. Cornerback Kevin Johnson also left with a concussion and did not return.Patriots running back Jeremy Hill did not return after a knee injury with 12:09 left in the third quarter. He was hurt on a play where tight end Rob Gronkowski fumbled after a 25-yard catch. Hill was helped off the field and evaluated in the medical tent before returning to the locker room. He had four carries for 25 yards and was credited with a partial punt block. In the tie between Pittsburgh and Cleveland , Steelers cornerback Joe Haden hurt his hamstring in the second half and didn't return. Cleveland defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah returned after briefly leaving with an injured ankle.Tampa Bay cornerback Vernon Hargreaves was helped to the locker room with a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter.Bengals linebacker Preston Brown limped off the field late in the first half of a win in Indianapolis with an injured right ankle, and Cincinnati defensive tackle Andrew Billings also left with leg cramps late in the third quarter. The Colts lost cornerback Chris Milton in the second half with a concussion.San Francisco wide receiver Marqise Goodwin hurt his right quadriceps in the first quarter and didn't return in a loss to Minnesota. The 49ers also lost a pair of guards with Mike Person going down in the second quarter followed by his replacement Joshua Garnett in the third, both with left foot injuries. Linebacker Brock Coyle, filling in for Malcolm Smith because of an injury, hurt his head and neck in the fourth quarter. He was down for several minutes before walking off.Minnesota cornerback Trae Waynes didn't return after hurting his knee while ripping a deep pass away in the second quarter.Bills cornerback Taron Johnson did not return to Buffalo's loss to Baltimore after hurting a shoulder.

Support area / It’s a big game for the Philadelphia Eagles this week.
« Last post by zhangzk on January 26, 2019, 05:13:37 am »
The reigning Super Bowl champions have the opportunity to advance to 5-4 while dropping the Dallas Cowboys to 3-6. All while playing in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football. As you if needed any more reminders that this week’s matchup is a big deal Authentic Jalen Mills Jersey , the Eagles are breaking out their alternate all-black uniforms for this one.The Eagles are typically allowed to wear their alternate uniforms twice per season. They won both games at Lincoln Financial Field when they wore all-black last year; Week 9 against the Denver Broncos and Week 16 against the Oakland Raiders. The Eagles also won two out of three all-black uniform games in 2016 with wins over the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants (Color Rush uniform) and a loss to the Green Bay Packers. Overall, that’s 4-1 in their last five black jersey games. Here’s to making it 5-1 on Sunday night.Birdbrained: Week 2 Mailbag Howdy team! It’s mailbag time.If you ever want to get your questions in, hit me up on Twitter @BenjaminSolak. If you don’t have a Twitter, you can also e-mail me at benjamin [dot] solak [at] gmail, but I will probably tell you to get a Twitter (and answer your question anyway).Good question.I think we all expected a few initial weeks without Alshon — and considering the conditions under which he finished 2017, I think he more than earned the rest. His absence I considered in my season-long predictions.Hollins, on the other hand, is the bigger disappointment. While he, of course, only represents a WR4 when healthy, he has good special teams value and broke the rotation in 2017 — in a spread-the-wealth attack, every pass catcher is valuable. Shelton Gibson and DeAndre Carter, while flashing with promise, can’t be considered proven or consistent players at this point — so depth is the biggest concern. How much is my season-long projection affected? Minimally. Philly beat the Falcons, should still beat the Bucs, the Colts Youth Ronald Darby Jersey , and the Titans all before that Week 5 Minnesota game. If Alshon’s back by then, we’re basically right on schedule.RE: tight ends powering us to victory — I certainly hope so! I’m gonna call Doug now and tell him that 24% of the snaps for Dallas Goedert is unacceptable! (Lol jk Doug scares me since the Wentz press conference.)This feels like a response to my uhh should we sign Darby? post from earlier this week. If it wasn’t, sorry — I’m just trying to get them clicks.Short answer: yes. Philadelphia has 1) more youth/draft capital at CB than DE, and have 2) invested more time and effort into said youth. Also, 3) apples to oranges, Brandon Graham is probably better than Ronald Darby.Long answer: it’s not that easy. It is worth noting that Brandon Graham will be over 30 come extension time, and would likely demand more money than Darby (25) would — for a team staring down the barrel of a massive Carson Wentz extension, every penny-pinching option should be considered. It’s also worth nothing that Graham has made it clear he expects a fat check, while Darby at the very least has not been so forthright in his demands.Gun to my head, I’d still extend Graham before Darby — but it’s more of a conversation than we initially thought, and the team will likely move mountains in an effort to keep both. Don’t get married to that *cut Bennett* idea, by the way. If Jernigan never returns to form (sadly a strong possibility), Bennett becomes very valuable to this team.Legally, I cannot confirm that I spent several years collecting enough Giants fans’ tears — whether organic or induced — in order to actually draw myself a bath and bathe in them.
But if I had — and again, I can neither confirm nor deny — this Darnold thing would feel juuuuuuuuust like that.Jokes aside, I’ll be more willing to gloat and taunt when Darnold is actually good http://www.eaglesauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jake-elliott-jersey , which requires multiple years of evaluation to know for sure. (When you begin boasting on a small sample size, you start shooting off Dak > Wentz takes prematurely, and look where that leaves you.)In avoiding results-based analysis, the Giants forgoing a quarterback for a running back that early in the Draft was a bad process, and worthy of ridicule regardless of Darnold, Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, or Lamar Jackson’s respective seasons. Make that the meat of your mockery — every good throw from a passed-over quarterback is just garnish; insult to the injury. The Eagles/Falcons RB snap counts were as follows:Darren Sproles: 40%Jay Ajayi: 40%Corey Clement: 18%From what I understand, Ajayi felt a little gimpy early, which cut into his snap time. I would expect to see his percentage climb a bit — and Sproles’ drop accordingly — when everyone is healthy. Think just 45/35 instead of a perfect split.Clement around 18 makes sense to me, to be frank. While Corey a great dude, with Sproles back on the field, he’s no longer the best “______” back. Ajayi is a better runner, in both zone and power, while Sproles is a better pass-catcher and protector. He’s just a change-of-pace guy at this point. There will be fluctuation — for example, I think this upcoming Bucs match-up calls for a heavy dose of Sproles. But 45/35/15 is my expected ratio moving forward.Great question. Love it. Let’s start here. Both DB Coach Cory Undlin and SAF Coach Tim Hauck have expressed their lack of interest in transferring Sul to a safety role. That never should have been an idea in the first place Alshon Jeffery Jersey , in my opinion — and as of this point, it isn’t one for the coaches in the building. Now, let’s look forward. With Sidney Jones manning the slot, it’s tough to imagine Sul never getting a crack at starting on the outside. Darby’s contract expires this season; Jalen Mills’ expires next season. Unless both players are retained on new deals (unlikely), there will be a starting outside slot open for competition by 2020 at the latest — that’s the last year of Sul’s contract. That’s not to say Sid won’t get an opportunity to work outside (with Maddox in the slot) when that day comes — just that it will be a competition.Let’s assume that day comes in 2019, after Darby moves on. What is the stronger starting three? Sul-Sid-Mills, or Sid-Maddox-Mills? (Maybe even Sul-Maddox-Sid, but don’t tell the Mills’ stans I threw that out there.)I think Sul gets himself the starting job in 2019. He’ll have had another year of developmental work in the building — one more than Maddox, who will be working to earn the starting slot job — and the team will not want to move Sid out of the slot if he finds success there. Douglas seems an improved player in his second season, and he brings a size profile and a production profile that nobody else on the roster does. Also, I’m a fan of his. So go Sul.I do not, though I like your thought process. Howie ain’t never acquired capital for capital’s sake. There’s always a multi-step plan in place. But Philly’s about to become a team burdened with big contracts — Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Alshon Jeffery, Fletcher Cox Authentic Nick Foles Jersey , Malcolm Jenkins, and Zach Ertz all represent 8-figure cap hits in the upcoming years. Carson Wentz, Brandon Graham, Ronald Darby, and Nelson Agholor all could soon join them.Philly doesn’t have the money to acquire somebody big — not an established NFL star, at least. They need rookie contracts. It’s nigh on impossible to trade for a star player on a rookie contract — it only just happened with Khalil Mack, and that was with a 6-year extension tagged on to the trade package. Philadelphia just isn’t in that fiscal position. That being said, don’t be surprised if Howie’s 11 picks in the 2019 Draft class become 7 or 8 as he trades up/around to ensure the Eagles land the contributors they believe in. With such a deep and talented roster, eleven draft picks simply won’t make it onto the final 53-man team — so it’s better to move up and get impact players you know will matter in 2019.That depends. If you like it, then fun story: I’ve starting learning how to cut my hair myself. Been working on it for a few months now — it’s tricky but it’s fun, and more importantly it’s cheap. Thanks for the compliment. If you don’t, then a barber. You probably don’t know him; he goes to a different school.

Houston moved to 8-3 http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/benardrick-mckinney-jersey , maintaining its two-game lead over the Colts in the AFC South. The Titans fell to 5-6.The Texans and Colts play in two weeks. It was the first game the Texans have played without their owner, Bob McNair, who died last week. The team honored him before the game and then during the game with a convincing win.Houston gained 281 of its 462 yards on the ground, with Lamar Miller gaining 162 yards on 12 carries, including a 97-yard touchdown. It was his most rushing yards since he picked up 175 on 14 carries for Miami in a game against the Texans in 2015.Deshaun Watson gained 70 yards and scored a touchdown on nine carries. He appeared to lose a fumble at the end of a 34-yard run to the Tennessee 12 in the fourth quarter, but replay upheld the ruling on the field that Watson was down by contact. Two plays later, Watson threw his second touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas. Thomas scored on touchdowns of 12 and 10 yards, catching four passes for 38 yards.Watson finished 19-of-24 for 210 yards and two touchdowns. DeAndre Hopkins caught five passes for 74 yards.Marcus Mariota was nearly perfect, finishing 22-of-23 for 303 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t nearly enough. The Texans sacked him six times, including 2.5 by Christian Covington and 1.5 each by J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus. Watt also had a forced fumble that the Titans recovered.Derrick Henry lost a fumble, and the Titans were stopped short on fourth-and-one from the Houston 2.Red Zone Play: Down & Distance Last week we checked out the Houston Texans’ offense, examining each position group and getting an overall feel for the health of the scoring side of the team. Now it’s time to turn the lens to the defensive side of the ball, which as we’ve all come to expect over the last few seasons, might just be what keeps this team rolling. If the ball bounces the Texans’ way a few times, this unit might put up some points themselves. DEFENSE:The biggest http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/ka_imi-fairbairn-jersey , best news of the off season as far as the Houston defense is concerned came when Romeo Crennel was reinstated as defensive coordinator. Don’t get me wrong, I like Mike Vrabel, but he was a far better developer of players than a strategist. Under Vrabel, the Texans’ defense often seemed confused and incapable of creating mismatches. While it’s easy to say Vrabel had to work without J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus most of the season, a high-quality coordinator isn’t going to get completely derailed by a few injuries. Thankfully for Houston fans #RACisBACKDefensive LineWith the obvious question mark surrounding J.J. Watt’s health, a lot is going to ride on D.J. Reader, Christian Covington and Carlos Watkins. While all three players have great upside, they each need to continue reaching their potential this year. The more blocks these three can eat up, the more opportunities will arise for guys like Watt, Mercilus, Jadeveon Clowney, Benardrick McKinney, and so forth. As the old saying goes, games are won and lost in the trenches. LinebackersIt’s hard to look at this group and not get excited. With Clowney, quite possibly the most talented defender in the NFL, McKinney http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/d.j.-reader-jersey , an old school thumper who reminds me of a young Terrell Suggs, Zach Cunningham, who has been hitting the plates and bulking up both mind and body in the off-season, and the X-Factor, Dylan Cole, this is a serious group of playmakers. If the defensive line can do their part, the linebackers should be feasting on tackles and sacks all season long.
I was on a plane to Florida with Vince Wilfork last week, and he certainly wasn’t injured. So maybe if someone else can’t go, Big Vince could pull a Brett Favre and make a comeback. Or at least show up with some smoked meat to lift everyone’s spirits. CornerbacksAs much as the linebacker room excites me, the cornerbacks sort of do the opposite. Johnathan Joseph is arguably the best corner in franchise history, but Father Time has never lost against an NFL player. Kevin Johnson really needs to step up and prove last year was a fluke if he doesn’t want the word “bust” hung around his neck like an albatross. Aaron Colvin might be the best of this group for 2018, but he’s got a learning curve ahead because: new guy. After those three, depth seems to be a mirage; granted, new safety Kareem Jackson can always play corner again in a pinch. SafetyAdding Tyrann Mathieu seems to be a home run for the Texans in free agency, but losing rising star Andre Hal to lymphoma was a serious strikeout. For years Houston has toyed with the notion of moving Kareem Jackson to safety; they have finally pulled that trigger, but how well it works out remains to be seen. If Justin Reid can plug and play quickly http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/ryan-griffin-jersey , he just might be the savior this group needs. The rest of the safety room (Corey Moore, Treston Decoud, Kurtis Drummond, and Ibraheim Campbell) certainly don’t inspire fans to run right out and buy their jerseys. For the time being, I’m going to continue to beat the “Trade for Earl Thomas” drum, although the chances of that actually happening appear to be pretty slim, particularly with all the rumors he’s about to head to Dallas. There we have it. The true goldmine on this side of the ball is the linebacker corps. We could easily mount an argument that this unit is only a player or two away from the greatest of all time, but the question marks surrounding the health of Watt, Clowney and Mercilus, along with performance questions regarding linemen, corners and safeties, make it easy to see this swinging the wrong way if that ball bounces all kinds of bad. If anyone can get the most out of this defense, it’s Romeo Crennel. So for the foreseeable future, we’re just going to hang our red zone hopes on #RACisBACK and let the ball bounce where it may.

Support area / NFL Picks: Predicting the winner of Steelers vs. Browns Week 1
« Last post by zhangzk on January 26, 2019, 03:50:39 am »
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team with a lot of question marks surrounding them. What will the offense look like without Le’Veon Bell? Will James Conner Youth Bud Dupree Jersey , and company, be able to carry the load? What will Randy Fichtner’s play-calling look like? Has the Steelers’ defense finally learned their lesson from 2017 and start to tackle better? Terrell Edmunds as a starter, is this a good or bad thing? It is true Pittsburgh has their share of concerns, the Browns are a completely different beast. Coming off an 0-16 season, and a 1-15 season prior to that, will the acquisitions of Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry be enough to buoy the historically sluggish Browns offense? Is Myles Garrett preparing for a launch into super stardom this season? Will this team be the team which propels Hue Jackson’s coaching career, or end it prematurely? All of these questions, and I didn’t even mention the weather. This game is forecasted to be played in heavy rains and wind for almost the entire contest. Not exactly ideal football conditions, but that is what makes football great http://www.steelersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jesse-james-jersey , right?!Now that the background has been filled in, how will this game play out? Keeping the Vegas line in mind (Steelers -4), and the expected weather conditions, I see this being a close contest. If you were thinking about a high-scoring affair, while I have learned to never rule such a thing out in the NFL, I would bet against it. This game is going to come down to fundamentals. The team who protects the football, takes advantage of opportunities and turns any red-zone possession they might get into 7-points, and not a field goal.I like the Steelers’ offense, even without Bell in the backfield Terrell Edmunds Jersey , more than the Browns, and I even like the Pittsburgh defense, as a collective, over the Cleveland defense. Throw in the fact the Steelers have one of the best place kickers, who is used to kicking in the bad elements, on their team, and I do like the Steelers to win this game.
I would be stunned if it were a blowout, and it may be ugly, but I think the Steelers leave Cleveland 1-0 Authentic James Conner Jersey , while they turn their attention to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.PREDICITON:Steelers - 20Browns - 13 The Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers are set to hit the prime time stage in Week 10 when the two teams face off at Heinz Field on Thursday Night Football. With the Panthers being the third NFC South team the Steelers have played this season, Pittsburgh is 2-0 in their previous meetings with the division, there is a chance fans don’t know much about this 6-2 team. With a short week, a lot of story lines and quotes are getting left on the cutting room floor as the recap of the Week 9 win over the Baltimore Ravens is quickly washed down the stream, and the preview of a big game commences. The Steelers’ official Twitter handle provides locker room interviews on a weekly basis, and it felt to be a good idea to share some on this short week, especially with it being a trio of offensive players talking primarily about the usage of the no-huddle offense on a short week.Enjoy!JuJu Smith-SchusterAntonio BrownBen Roethlisberger Custom Oakland Raiders Jerseys

This episode Navy Josh Kline Jersey , titled “Blitz and Hard Hits”, features the position that Mike Vrabel mastered during his playing career: linebacker. That position group also features the team’s top two draft picks in Rashaan Evans and Harold Landry.Episode 1: Who is Mike Vrabel?Episode 2: Taking FlightEpisode 3: Implementing the Run GameEpisode 4: The Fury of the SecondaryHere is tonight’s new episode for your viewing pleasure. The episodes seem to be getting better and better each week. This one starts with several shots of Vrabel doing hands on work with the linebackers. This was his position as both a player and a position coach and the current Titans certainly seem to be giving him their full attention.Brian Orakpo specifically talked about how he had never played for a defensive-minded head coach and seemed pretty energized by the chance to work with Vrabel. We also got a great shot of Derrick Morgan working with 2nd round pick Harold Landry giving him some tips on beating blocks. I can’t imagine too many NFL rookies were drafted in to better situations than Landry was in April. He gets to come in and learn under two established veterans who really know the craft of pass rushing. Not only do Orakpo and Morgan have a combined 224 games of NFL experience, but they also have the team-first mindset to pass down that knowledge to the young rookie despite the fact that he will one day replace one of them in the starting lineup. Not only that, but their presence reduces the pressure on Landry to be an every down starter right away. He will get a chance to be worked in to the lineup as he’s ready. When you add in the fact that he gets coached by a staff headed by Mike Vrabel — who is often credited with the development of Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney in Houston — and you have a real recipe for success. Landry’s comments in this episode and to the media on other occasions certainly seem to show a rookie who understands how lucky he is and is working to take advantage of his situation.First round pick Rashaan Evans is in a similar situation at inside linebacker as well. He gets to learn under 10-year pro Wesley Woodyard and he also gets the benefit of having a head coach coach who played his position as Vrabel worked at inside linebacker during his career as well. I would say there is a little more pressure on Evans to start early due to the first round pick label and less entrenched starters ahead of him on the depth chart. We also got a short introduction to the Titans first new Strength and Conditioning coach in over 30 years in Tom Kanavy. He is taking over the post left by the legendary Steve Watterson who retired earlier this offseason. Kanavy has been with the team since 2015 so he knows the players well. There was nothing really groundbreaking to take away from this segment, but it’s good to get an introduction to Watterson’s replacement. The second half of the episode starts with a discussion about why the Titans decided to split the linebacking group in to separate units with separate coaches. Last season the Titans had one linebackers coach — Lou Spanos — who covered both outside and inside linebackers. Under Vrabel, these are viewed as distinct groups so he has an outside linebackers coach in Shane Bowen and an inside linebackers coach in Tyrone McKenzie.
Bowen followed Vrabel from Houston where he was a defensive assistant for the last two seasons. McKenzie came from the Rams where he worked as a special teams coach and defensive assistant for one season. He was originally drafted by the Patriots when Dean Pees was the defensive coordinator in New England. Splitting the roles makes a ton of sense for the reasons explained in the episode. Outside linebackers and inside linebackers in a 3-4 defense are completely different roles and they should be coached differently. One thing that I noticed in watching the personnel packages from the practice clips they used was that it sure looks like Will Compton is currently working with the first unit at inside linebacker. That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise due to the fact that he’s a veteran who knows how to call a defense at the NFL level. There is still plenty of time for guys like Evans and Jayon Brown to catch and pass him, but my guess based on these clips is that the team at least opens camp with Woodyard and Compton as the starting inside backers in base defense. Next week’s episode looks a little different. They are going to be showing some of the offseason team building activities. Rishard Matthews Youth Corey Davis Jersey , who is coming off a knee injury, played only 54 snaps in the first two games combined. The Titans wideout is ready for more.“I don’t know,” Matthews said when asked if he was getting enough reps and opportunities, via Terry McCormick of titaninsider.com. “Not enough, in my opinion.”Matthews, who made 118 receptions in his first two seasons with the Titans, has caught two of the four passes thrown his way for 8 yards. He didn’t start either game Youth Kevin Byard Jersey , and his only touch in the opener was a punt he returned 18 yards when Adoree Jackson injured his shoulder.Among the Titans’ receivers and tight ends, only Jonnu Smith has seen fewer targets than Matthews. “I feel like I’m 100 percent,” Matthews said.New offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur has encouraged Matthews to be patient. Matthews’ time is coming. think he’s coming along,” LaFleur said. “We’re giving him a little bit more each and every week. He’s a veteran guy. He’s smart. Just because he wasn’t out here practicing in OTAs and the beginning of camp doesn’t mean he wasn’t engaged. He was certainly engaged. He’s coming along nicely, and hopefully, we can get him more and more as this season progresses.”

Jay Ajayi is good to go despite fractured back Womens Brandon Brooks Jersey , says Doug Pederson The Eagles head coach is still fielding a lot of questions about injuries to key players, but the team is welcoming running back Jay Ajayi to the field on Sunday despite his back injury. Here’s what Pederson had to say:On Titans prepJay Ajayi is officially back for the Eagles on Sunday after rehabbing a fractured back. Pederson admitted, “it sounds bad,” and he even had that same injury during his time as a player, and it’s a go-as-tolerated type injury.“He’s a tough kid and he’s battled through it, and he’s really felt fine.”Pederson was asked about facing a quarterback who can do so much offensively, whether it’s the zone read or wildcat situations, and he talked about it being a unique style but the Eagles’ defense is used to facing that type of multi-faceted offense in practice. He also pointed out it’s all about discipline for the defense, making sure they review the film and training their eyes to make the right reads. The head coach was then asked about Nelson Agholor’s performance over the first three games of the season, and Pederson noted he’s been playing well and real consistent. On top of that, he’s stepped up and taken on a much bigger load with injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Mike Wallace.Carson Wentz earlier in the week said that he has a target goal of 70% completion rate, but Pederson admitted that’s a bit lofty Youth Nate Gerry Jersey , but if he’s at high-60’s the team is happy.Pederson was also asked about whether they pay attention to the defense allowing more points on the road, and their overall away game production. The head coach acknowledged that of course they do, and they even talk about how to handle their road games during training camp.He continued to talk about how there are so many extra tiny distractions that come along with playing on the road. They have friends and family members in the hotels, different coaches pulling them in multiple directions, and so there’s a lot more to be focused on as they prepare for an away game.On injuriesOut of respect for Rodney McLeod, Pederson wouldn’t comment on the severity of the injury and the team still isn’t sure if they will end up putting the safety on IR or if he’ll even be out the whole season. It’s too early to tell. The head coach also wouldn’t really go into what they were going to do to make up for the loss of McLeod roster-wise, but Pederson has been working with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz this week to make sure they are covered. “We’ve got a plan and we’re comfortable with what we’ve got.” (But, he also said they are looking for anyone outside that could add depth.)Alshon Jeffery was medically cleared earlier this week but missed practice on Thursday due to an illness. Pederson said the wide receiver isn’t really feeling much better, and that after speaking with team doctors, they say the virus is about a 24-48 hours deal.
Pederson did say that they had seen enough from Jeffery on Wednesday, and then have some time on Saturday — with a late departure — to determine whether he’ll be able to play on Sunday. He said that the team has tested Darren Sproles this week, and he’s not quite there yet in terms of getting back out there on game day Youth Sidney Jones Jersey , but he’s getting close with his hamstring issue. Here’s a breakdown of the snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles’ 27-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10 of the 2018 NFL season.OFFENSEThe offensive line played the entire game for the first time since Week 4 (Brandon Brooks only missed one snap in Week 4, close enough). Jason Peters usually has to come out but he didn’t on Sunday night.Alshon Jeffery only had four receptions for 48 yards despite the fact he played nearly the entire game and saw eight targets. He dropped some passes. Jordan Matthews still saw a significant workload even with the Eagles trading for Golden Tate. Tate only played 18% of Philly’s snaps and only saw three targets. The Eagles gave up a third-round pick for this guy who is only guaranteed to play seven more games in Philly.Wendell Smallwood edged out Josh Adams and Corey Clement in playing time. Adams saw the most carries of all three backs with seven. Smallwood only took two carries but he did have three receptions.Zero targets for Dallas Goedert. You know, it’s not like the Eagles’ struggling offense could use the dynamic player Philadelphia traded up to acquire in the second round this year. DEFENSEAvonte Maddox saw some playing time in the slot with Corey Graham returning on the back end on Tre Sullivan also sees snaps at safety. The Eagles primarily went with a three-man defensive end rotation. It’s clear they don’t trust rookie defensive end Josh Sweat to play much.Newly claimed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill saw the third most DT snaps. Eagles just had to cut DeAndre Carter to rush to sign this guy.SPECIAL TEAMSIt was thought that newly acquired Cre’Von LeBlanc could be the nickel cornerback. He only played on special teams, however.DID NOT PLAYInactives: Lane Johnson, Darren Sproles, Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones, Nate Sudfeld, Deiondre’ Hall, Matt PryorActive: Nick Foles, Jordan MailataMailata has yet to play an NFL snap this season despite being active for two games now.
